HOPE Ministry
HOPE Ministry is a volunteer program sponsored by area churches, individuals, civic organizations and corporations. Our goal is to provide volunteer support to people who reside in Alamance County and who are 60 years of age and older, so that they may continue to live with independence, dignity and safety in their homes for as long as possible. There is no charge for the services of HOPE Ministry. All persons, regardless of ethnic origin, lifestyle, financial resources or religious preference are welcomed.
Services:
- Companionship/Visits Phone Calls
- Light Yard Work Light Housekeeping
- Transportation Minor Repairs
Because HOPE Ministry serves a vulnerable population in the home, volunteers must submit to a background check, which covers court records and motor vehicle records. Volunteers are required to complete an orientation program and sign a Confidentiality Agreement. Any and all information regarding either Care Receivers or Volunteers is considered highly confidential. Liability insurance is provided while volunteers are serving with HOPE Ministry.
